Also if max knew for sure he was moving up for good he would’ve gotten bigger and stronger. But since he wants to go back down he couldn’t take full advantage of that where as Dustin has been at 155 for a while now. Also Max’s chin is phenomenal.

If max bulked up it could’ve been better but either way I like Dustin and he deserves it. Max needs to figure out what he wants to do. Max and Israel are my two favorite fighters right now so this card was a heart attack. Most 155ers would have been out in the first 2 rounds. Let max wait to fight until like December and the rest of the division can figure itself out. I’m kind of glad max didn’t win cause I didn’t want to see him fight khabib. No ones stopping this takedowns

this is another reason why dana white is an idiot, put a dominant fighter at 145 but lack power and had him go up and fight bigger man, then get 5 years taken off his career, as one poster said this is a good 8 to 9 months lay off, just to get his body right again.

Meh, this is some hindsight is 20/20 stuff, everyone has been expecting Max to move up soon considering the toll weight cuts have had on him and the fact that he's a big 145lber. We know Max isn't a heavy hitter but I don't think anyone was expecting the power disparity to be that pronounced going into the fight. Max being so damn hittable is an issue that he needs to address.
