Wheres all the ortega fan boys now? Couldn't do shyt with that bjj when youre getting peiced up like that. Max doesnt need to move up, dana needs to let him do his thing till he can't make weight anymore. Unlesd he wants to do conor vs max at 155 with no belt on the line so max gets paid. Would be a hundred times better now than their first match. I would have that as a toss up.

Max has great TD defence anyway and Ortega has horrible takedowns he seems to snatch onto his subs rather than take down and work for them.
he fights that way against ppl with equal or worse standup.

This is the fight I wanna see max vs Conner again max had a broken ankle the first fight and he kept getting dropped but he didn’t get knocked out I think he would be better this go around if healthy it would be a great fight two good strikers but anyway #BLESSEDERA
Moicano has better standup, and that fight was mostly fought on the feet with Moicano getting the better of most of it. Ortega submitted him because Moicano shot in for a takedown and then Ortega snatched up his neck. Dude is not a wrestler, he tried takedowns and Max stopped them, if the takedowns are stopped where do you think the fight is gonna take place? Not on the ground...

One thing I will say about the UFC is that they've really built a solid foundation up north, ppl are UFC crazy in Toronto compared to boxing.
It's ALL about coverage though, they have a deal with TSN.

Yeah and having a Canadian star is important to building boxing's profile up here. Or at least bringing a star here that could connect with the locals. I remember a local group tried to book Pacquiao for a fight on NBA All Star Weekend in Toronto but it fell through. I think Pacquiao would be a big draw here, Toronto has a huge Filipino community and they could fill up any of the arenas here.
Max is better though. His reign wont be as long though cause he will move up eventually. Also who was aldo fighting in W.E.C i cant remember if faber and brown and cruz were in his weight class then.
