I don't get how fighters consistently gas out after 2 or 3 rounds and then think they're Championship quality?

I mean don't these nikkas train for 10 round fights? How they consistently gassing?

Too tight. Too many fight nerves will kill all your energy no matter how hard you trained.

Also for some reason mma fighters don't like doing roadwork. You know the really lo g runs that boxers do. Called pounding the pavement. They are too focused on explosive movements and anaerobic exercise.

Francis is a superstar imo already and you can clearly tell where the ufc is on there :mjpls: like they do with most of there black talent not named Jon Jones, I feel like we don't see nearly enough promotion of Francis, dude is a monster knocking guys dead, people love heavy weight fighters in all combat sports, Francis even has the back story to go along his talent.
Nah this is off base. He's been given good promo and they been desperate for HW talent for years. Reem was huge step up in talent and he's got a title shot already.
But Ngannou has been getting heavily promoted by the UFC :gucci:

People in the MMA Thread were even debating on whether or not his major push was warranted given his resume at the time. He's been getting all types of media opportunities, has had Dana call him the future of the division, and has been the primary fighter featured at most of their recent sponsorship events. All of that with his biggest win being Arlovski up to that point. I'm sick of dudes on this site making up false narratives to fit an agenda.

He's got an article about him on CNN.com right now lol

You couldn't be more off base

They got the guy living in Vegas at the UFC Performance Institute for free. That's how much they believe in this guy as the next big thing and want him to be champ

You are not wrong about rogan's propensity for hyperboley but in regards to the bit in bold who exactly is the GOAT now?
If Jones and Silva are now disqualified? I'm not sure whether that nomenclature is even worth it for the time being.

Maybe it was the Floyd influence and UFC wants that same regal effect when hyping their current champs by calling them the current or arguable GOAT.. but in MMA it just seems like a matter of time before a GOAT contender either runs into a simply superior opponent who exposes their blatant flaws in ways subpar competition never could, or stays in the game 1 or 2 (or more) fights too long and gets embarrassed, or they just get popped for roids.

The same happens in boxing and other sports in general but it feels more noticeable in UFC b/c they (Rogan, sometimes DC) like passing around the title of goat a lot to the fighter of the moment. So for instance, is DJ the GOAT now? And is it unconditional based on his career or still contingent on him winning his next fight? Or facing greater competition? If GSP or McGregor retire after 1 or 2 more fights that they happen to win out, are they the safe choice for goat b/c they won out, didn't get popped, and were popular among white audiences? idk

personally I wouldn't say so however beating TJ is a good start

I don't even think the most devoted conor fan is delusional enough to say hes a goat of anything but being a draw. As for GSP to me he loses points for going so many years without finishing
