If we are gonna play that game - you can question if the RDA that went on that tear and demolished Showtime, is the same one Ferg beat

A lot of rumours and silly side by side pics I can upload of post USADA RDA

Khabib is a bigger threat to Conor than Ferg and that is why he is the more likely of the two to get it, no doubt in my mind who is the most deserving though

Not buying the sport killer argument either - grappling / wrestling is an art - his domination of Abel wasn't boring, the way he handled MJ wasn't boring

He mauls everyone he gets his hands on

At this stage the only criticism that could be levelled against him is his injury record
See these scenarios only have him mauling mcG but what about him getting hit

not touching that :hubie:

him being a bigger threat is all the reason why he wouldn't get it or do you think UFC/WME IMG are ready to lose the 1 draw they have

don't know the point of citing his style is an "art" when I clearly said he's talented. I was rooting for Johnson and that rape was a clinic to watch however while he might not be as corrosive as a gsp his style isn't exactly going to put asses in seats. The only thing that worked in gsp's favour was the heavy LGBT and insecure cacs support that gave him a pass

How do you know he's never going down to 145?
conventional wisdom, conor is all about chasing paper and keeping the machine chugging, look at his last cut against aldo,:francis: like I said before the FW title was a gateway to Lw he low key cleaned out the division anyway, Only notable contender he never faced was Edgar. Any move that involves FW is a step backwards. Only reason to come back down is when he has his tail between his legs from getting washed by Ferguson or khabib.

If the Khabib fight happens it'd be interesting as hell. But with 10 inches of reach I dunno how Khabib will close the distance
you underestimate his sambo and overestimate conor's TDD.. I think we all got alveraz's wrestling wrong or maybe it was a combo of being stunned and smaller but khabib is the real deal

Aight... so you don't know if he'll go down to 145 again... we'll see what happens.

I'd love to see Khabib vs Conor tho..I know Khabib can win but the most intriguing thing is gonna be seeing him compensate for that reach advantage. If he can get his hands on Conor he'll maul him.

Edit: actually, ESPN has it wrong... Khabib is giving up 4 inches, not 10. I just checked a few other sites...

That being said I can definitely see him getting in on Conor.

In my estimation the persons with the best shot at beating McG are Tony Ferguson at LW or someone with his length and Max Holloway at Featherweight.

Khabib gives up a 10-inch reach advantage. McG is too good at controlling range. He even outboxed Diaz who has a slightly longer reach
Im pretty sure he has a 70 inch reach. I know it said 64 but on others it says 70. 64 on someone 5'10 is incredibly short. I still thing tonys a tougher fight for conor though because of khabibs standup. If he can close that range tho, conors gonna get smashed.

Edit: just seen you edit lol

now that he's dabbled with ww x2 and lw it's not exactly safe to especially when he was struggling to do it when he was there. It just doesn't make any sort of sense from a health or financial standpoint

I'm a fan of both

I love Khabib but the fight starts on the feet, he actually has to get Conor to the ground

I am not in the camp of people that believes Khabib easily rag dolls Conor for 25 mins

I was talking about Ferguson getting the shot

In any case, this is pointless because I guarantee neither of them are getting a shot

John Kavanagh has literally just said that if it was down to him, he'd go the route of Diaz III

Khabib would wreck Conor on the ground, but Conor on the feet is a beast Khabib can not take on.
Standing, there's not a lot of people that would pose any problem to Conor without a good reach advantage.
He beats brawlers easily because he stays calm and focused on the chin, he destroys anyone that doesn't have good hands, takedown defense is good enough not to get taken down much by less than great wrestlers.

IMO he also beats Woodley, he'd dodge 80% of his punches and the rest would not land well enough to rock him, while Woodley would get that chin and these legs sniped for 2 rounds max before going down.

I think it's more a case of McGregor taking 7 months off and khabib having to fight Ferguson for number 1 contendership
