Really? Conor often uses counters like a cross block technique, purposely eating a punch just to land his left. That's why he's always marked up/cut under his eye, because he relies on that shyt. One of the big things people criticize him for his his willingness to rely on his chin. Nate isn't a huge power puncher, so I really doubt that some shots from Nate will make Conor go for any sort of takedown. Conor's strength is easily being on his feet as well as his top jiu-jitsu, even though he hasn't been able to show much of that yet.

I just don't see him taking the fight to the floor here, not when he can dart in and out of space at angles, changing range as well as he can.

When I say land clean I mean if hes able to land something without conor being in position to counter. If he lands a clean one-two etc.

:mjlol: Yeah because Nate has so much power.

:martin:

Doesn't have to have a lot of power. That's not the point

He better avoid those spinning kicks

Nate has a shot if he can get Conor down, he can't take guys down like mendes though
He ain't got to much to worry about with those kicks, Conor has no ass behind em :mjlol: His hands >>> those flashy kicks with no power

People are really underestimating Diaz chances :mjlol:

Yeah, Conor is good, when he has space, if Diaz cuts him off and boxes him in, and gets him to the ground however, I see Conor taking the L. He's not gonna know what to do against a larger, greater skilled on the ground type fighter in Diaz, plus nikkas are underestimating his hand skills, especially his one-two. I see him giving Conor trouble, if not beating him.

Problem is the longer the fight the worse it gets for Diaz, no matter what 10 days isn't enough to prepare for a fight

If he had any power I would like his chances but he's gotta get a sub early or he'll end up like mendes. We haven't seen Conor fight a taller fighter in the ufc, it should be interesting

Diaz stays pretty active in training and overall conditioning even between fights, so I see him performing pretty well, especially against a 170 lb Connor. Besides, we've only seen Conor go the distance once in his career, so we don't know how he will perform as the fight goes on either, he was preparing to fight at 155, now he'll have to come in at 170 in 10 days, that might be a factor in his conditioning and mobility, especially fighting a larger fighter in Diaz. Also with Nate, his boxing doesn't even have to be about power, he's known to be a volume puncher anyways, and in this fight, it would be smart to use his hands to set up the takedown and dominate him on the ground. I honestly don't see Conor getting him off if he gets a dominate position.

Do y'all see that height difference?:lolbron:

That's what Conor gets lol, Conor got so used to fighting dudes smaller than him that he actually started bragging on some "I'm 5 foot 9!" shyt as if that's some kinda amazing height smh lol. I hope Nate uses his height and reach wisely.

No.

That's probably near what he walks around at anyway.

There was absolutely no way he was going to cut to 45 on two weeks notice to fight Edgar.

And w/o the title on the line, he was probably like "fukk a weight cut" all together.

Just show up round his walking around weight and save the event for Dana and Lorenzo
Edgar turned down the fight...

Conor could have EASILY turned down the fight...But he stepped up...He chose to fight Diaz...Thus, your statement is irrelevant...
