He also hasn't ever beaten a consensus top 3 p4p fighter in his sport. :yeshrug:

They're similar regardless.

Bros...any info on the buyrate? Dana claimed this sh!t was breaking records. :francis: I'll believe a milli...but I dunno beyond that.

Conor turned into a bytch when shyt got heavy

Broner came back against Maidana and showed heart when he was hurt

the damages Conor more than anything, because he quit in a fight he was winning, Broner fought back in a fight he was losing and badly hurt

But it doesn't blow up. They get replaced. Boxing is different and they have to be more strategic with fights. Zuffa has most of the fighters so they cash them out as needed.

Zuffa don't have more fighters than boxers lmao are you kidding me

The put marketing dollars behind Mcgregor lol, 6 fights and he is the king of the UFC, lmao

Boxing promoters don't have to waste money like that because their event make money lmao

They don't have to manufacture hype

the UFC is not a long lasting organization, its days are numbered, when boxing promoters get stables of MMA fighters it is over for all these organizations

Who's replaced Ronda, lol, ESPN wasn't calling Holly Holm the greatest women's athlete ever after she beat the brains out that bytch

Who replaced Mcgregor lol, who did Mcgregor replace lol

I meant they have the majority of top level MMA fighters

Did you really just say boxing promoters don't manufacture hype? :heh:

Mcgregor replaced Honda. It remains to be seen if he needs to be replaced since he still is the 145 champ.

Either way I'm not attacking boxing.

They don't. Boxing doesn't need mainstream coverage to make money. Give me an example of a Ronda or Mcgregor lol

Anderson Silva didn't get that type of push when he was doing punches and head kicks with his hands down lol

145 means nothing, there's no one to fight in that division which is why he has to move up anyway, if he can't take the punches at 155 he's finished in MMA period

He can still knock those dudes out, but they can hang with him and put some heat on him, he will fold, that's what I learned from watching the diaz fight again, he doesn't respond well to being hit at all

Not needing it and not using it are two different things.

They are promoters and use whatever they can. The methods might be different.

The rest of your point doesn't negate my statement.

Boxer promoters aren't going to waste money building someone up of visibility alone lol

they build fighters of actually fights

Mcgregor had 6 fights in the UFC and he's the highest priority in the company, it's a joke, you obviously don't understand what I'm talking about

Mcgregor's popularity is due to the UFC making sure his face is all over the place

when boxers don't need to do that, because they don't need a mainstream audience to sell tickets

ESPN covered Mayweather on their own, because he just got that big where he is the story so they wanted ratings, he never needed them to build his brand in boxing

like Ronda and Mcgregor did thanks to Zuffa cutting checks

UFC isn't going anywhere but I agree with most of what you saying. Dana love him some white hype imagine if he had prime Chuck or Randy in this era the Liddell hype in 06/07 was unbearable luckily Rampage ended it.

Right but we are faulting UFC for making $?

That's the problem in here. We can't have a discussion about the UFC where boxing is mentioned and people not feel like it's an attack.

Because MMA fighters, fans, and their media always have to attach a Boxers name to their discussion.

Again, I don't understand why Conor McGregor is not being called another marquee fighter in MMA history...instead, his name is being used as "Did Conor McGregor just become Adrien Broner" who's never stepped foot in an Octagon.

Why not, "Did Conor McGregor become Brock Lesnar"?:jbhmm:

That's my problem with it...there's 0 comparision between McGregor's rise & Broner's rise in Boxing. Broner also didn't lose to a fighter the caliber of Nate Diaz with only an 11 day camp to prepare. So where is the comparision coming from? Nobody answers that:manny:

More than a fair point

I grew up watching boxing on ABC Wide World of Sports. I don't follow as closely as I did but I'm still a fan.

I can appreciate MMA and Boxing without proping one over the other.

He's cocky...he's young...he's was the next big thing in his sport...he moves up too far in weight...Ppl then say he's overrated/finished just b/c he lost a fight...all the while forgetting how courageous they were for doing what they did....totally similar.

And Broner has never been in a choke...if he had a 180 lb. Jiujitsu ace mounting, striking and rnc'ing him...he'd quit. There's no 8 count and you can't take a knee.

Imagine Maidana having the green light to follow Adrien to the ground that night.:wow:

And yall always say MMA is gonna die someday...but it never does...still here after chuck...still here after George. ..still here after brock...and they're gonna be here after Conor and ronda:banderas:

Conor lost the fight because of a straight left had nothing to do with the ground, he was the one who took the fight to the ground because he quit

he wanted to get choked out instead of KO'd lmao

Conor quit straight up, Broner didn't quit

if Maidana hit Conor he would curl into a fetal position, Maidana was one of the hardest punchers in the division it's no comparison
