And I know you all remember when McGregor had the nerve to say he was a better P4P fighter than Jon. :umad:fukk out of here, Jon will retire as the GOAT.
Jon was scared to fight chael sonnen on short notice. Conner jumped to 170 and fought nate Diaz on short notice. Jon doesn't get a win here whatsoever .

I was watching this the other day

All I kept remembering was how hard it was for Mike Johnson to hit Nate, MJ was eating all kinds of jabs/slaps trying to close the distance between him and Nate. And MJ is bigger than Conor, so that had me like :patrice:thinking of how Conor would be able to hit Nate. Anytime someone has a reach/height advantage over you and you have to eat punches to close the distance you're at a big disadvantage. Which is why it was completely stupid for Conor to say he would knock Nate out by the end of the 1st.

It wasn't stupid because he came close...It was ARROGANT, because he underestimated Nate's durability and overestimated his own power...

True that.........and MJ is no joke at all. The thing is that the diaz brothers ........... its ridiculously hard to knock em out in fact I don't think either of them have been knocked out by punches. They always bait people into brawls with them and it makes it worse that they have strong boxing backgrounds. They have some strong chins and they have insane stamina to outlast a lot of people in a brawl. Check out Nick Diaz vs KJ Noon or the fight where Nick broke the record for most strikes ever thrown in an mma fight....... I think it was against Stann........ that shyt was years old but it was one of those fights that had put me on to thinking these guys are a problem for anyone that wants to stand and trade.

Holly EASILY won that fight...

Holly and McGregor losing is BAD for the sport...People were beginning to get excited about fighters who go for it, but now they will go back to the tape and realize sometimes you just have to be a BORING fighter and win by points when you are clearly ahead in the scorecards...

One of the WORST things in any fighting sport are the dominant fight for points champions...I hate that "game plan" talk...
So much barbershop rambling in this post:scust:

Wear um down choke um out. Textbook. But Conor facilitated his own demise because he wanted to bail out of a striking match. He was crushed on all fronts. Wasnt conditioned for that diaz pressure where you just have to keep throwing and trading.
There's been all this talk of Conor's conditioning, did he not have a full training camp though?

McGregor losing is bad for UFC, but Dana can't be pissed at Tate winning at all. Now Ronda can come back and face someone she can beat, for the championship.
McGregor can still rock with the "warrior who dared to win" image...He only took a small L...The definitive L will be if he loses to Aldo in the upcoming rematch...

The UFC is not going to give him Frankie...

(1) Frankie claims he is injured
(2) There is less money in that fight compared to Aldo vs McGregor...Two champs coming back from devastating losses...

If I am Dana, I make McGregor vs Aldo II....If Aldo wins then Connor is FINISHED...But you cash out...If McGregor wins, then you make the Frankie fight...It is too risky to put McGregor vs Edgar now...

Frankie could get inside and choke Connor again...

Things I noticed when re-watching this
1. Nate was punching Conor in the face so hard that Conor willingly gave up his back
2. Conor tapped out within two seconds and tapped out TWICE
3. Nate held in the choke for a split second longer for good measure
4. Nate gave Conor a final slap as Herb Dean stopped the fight

Meanwhile, Conor McGregor Nuthuggers on Sherdog are working overtime on some
