Honestly I think Aldo would dust McGregor. I still think he got lucky in that last fight

Maybe. The fight ended so abruptly I wouldn't take anything away from it one way or the next. I still think the worst matchup in all of FW for McGregor is Edgar. He doesn't get KOed, has a great gas tank and is an elite wrestler. How does McGregor win?

Nate lured him into that. Amazing, everyone thinks the Diaz brothers hit with pillows but it only takes one well paced hit to rock a man. Either way, this was the best card so far this year and I expect to see Mcgregor abandon the heavier weight classes. I still wonder what the RDA fight would have been like. The people saying McGregor had anything for Lawler and Wonderboy need to off themselves though.

exactly dog this mma they not gonna give no standing counts. if somebody get caught with a zinger you can swarm and finish them. you don't need high KO power to finish in the UFC machida level
Just want to reiterate that Holly ain't tap like that fukkboy just did :sas2:

idk if you've ever trained bjj or not but nobody out here giving props for being too stubborn and choked to sleep.

and holly was trying to tap

Dana wants a prize fighter, someone he can heavily promote and bring more viewers to the UFC. People like Ronda, McGregor, Jones, Lesnar, and GSP are not fighters you want to lose because it ruins the aura you create for them. It's hard to promote other fighters because they simply lack personality. Honestly, it is enjoyable to watch Dana lose because he treats anyone that isn't his cashcow like straight shyt and then wants to get upset and act surprised when his biggest fighters don't want to work for the company anymore, Bendo was latest example of that.

That's what I assumed. Like with boxing, the larger the personality (Mayweather, Ali, Tyson), more ways to cash off them via pay per view, advertisements etc

Lucky how ? Judging by tonight's fight, I don't see how you consider anything that happened in the Aldo fight to be lucky. If anything, that 10 second performance looked worse than the first 4 minutes we saw from the Diaz fight.

i read that conor cuts around 30 lbs to make 145 so that's way too much for a fighter. he can try 155 but i think RDA beats him.

i thought conor was pacing himself at the end of the first but he was actually slowing down to avoid gassing. idk if it was the weight gain or those explosive kicks and punching but he might need a year to bulk and adjust his body before making the jump to 170. any of those strikes on a 145/155 would cause good damage or a possible KO.

Mcgregors fighting style is to arrogant for him to reign. Hes cant conserve and adapt. He blows his wad and gets wins or gets destroyed.

I don't even think Holly realized how far that choke was in. And she already escaped the first one so she had that false sense of hope. Thats what happens with fighters unfamiliar with BJJ.

By lucky I meant the fight ended quickly instead of going on for multiple rounds. Look at JDS vs Valasquez first fight. Same thing, JDS got lucky and the fight ended fast. The next two fights Cain put the beats on JDS.

I think Jose is the better overall fighter, especially considering how weak his guard is. The next fight I'd imagine Aldo winning pretty convincingly.

Just rewatched Diaz and McGregor:wow:

McGregor was eating so many punches he went into survival mode and tried to shoot on Nate but...

You dont go to the ground on a blackbelt in BJJ when you a boxer
Yeah I saw that too. That nikka was done with them punches said "fukk, let me try to roll out of this"....ironically, holly did the same damn thing with the same damn result just 20 mins earlier. Holly LET her get in that position though....should have been more aggressive with the takedown defense and slung her off her back BEFORE she threw her leg around her back
