No black person in London should be using black cabs on principle. The majority of them are racists who back in the day when they had a monopoly would drive right past me at night with a smirk on their face.

I've used Uber hundreds of times in London & other parts of the UK and never once had a problem with directions. It's 2019, 'The Knowledge' is not competing with Google Maps at all .

Most drivers I've had were Asian or Black by the way.

For people who are visiting London in the near future use Bolt or Kapten if you can't use Uber.

It’s worthless now. Last few cabbies I’ve been in have had Google Maps or me direct them.

I simply think this is TfL being leant on by the Black Cab association. They even went on strike blocking the roads in protest. Outside tube stations they are limiting the space for Uber cars and only making space for black cabs.

The decision did not really take our safety into consideration. It was just used as a bullet loaded by the cabbies.

And those cabbies are pricks if you live anywhere they don’t want to go.

Theres a lot of African/Caribbean brehs i seen doin uber when i was in London. It was mostly either brehs or indians (who were cool too). They just trying to cut down easy ways for folks to make money. Making sure their white comrades (black cab) are properly fed first second and third.

This is because too many black/brown men were eating off the plate of Black Taxi drivers (majority of whom are white).

The white government weren't about to let that carry on. Black Taxi drivers are just as racist as NY cab drivers. fukk them.

For clarity "Black taxi" cabs are black... not the drivers themselves.
