Did anyone actually read the Uber CEO's statement? I did. The hate the company is receiving isn't commensurate. This is a prime example of what Denzel was talking about.
breh posted a statement below in this thread, but it's clear that it doesn't matter

actually what happened was taxi companies in NY decided to stop picking up drivers at the airport in solidarity for those stuck because of Trump's executive order and Uber tweeted that it was cancelling sure pricing in the airport

(when there is high demand on Uber in an area it triggers higher prices to, as Uber claim, incentivize more drivers to turn on the app)

so someone in twitter started the #DeleteUber hashtag as a response

note that Uber's release was 36 minutes after the stoppage was to end

“We’re sorry for any confusion about our earlier tweet — it was not meant to break up any strike,” the company told Business Insider. “We wanted people to know they could use Uber to get to and from JFK at normal prices, especially last night.”

An Uber spokesperson also told Fortune that “the decision to turn off surge pricing was made specifically to avoid profiting from increased demand during the protest.

I'm tryna see wtf they did wrong here. I'm pretty sure most people ain't even investigate this shyt before boycotting. I'm all for boycotting but only if the shyt makes sense. Whatever I don't use Uber anyway. I will say this tho. If people knew about all the companies they use and shop from everyday that supports Trump they would be shocked as fukk.

For real? :what: How many hours did you work? Is this before or after taxes?
before taxes, it was still over 200. I live in Central NJ. Took some dude to Newark Airport, took a girl from Newark Airport to Brooklyn, and my last guy went to Atlantic City. :yeshrug: I had a couple shorts fares in between.
