No it's not, In fact you can point to church as being one of the reasons why we still struggle. Any time black people were ready to fight back the church was always used to settle up down. We pray for things to change instead of actually doing the work to change things. It's ok to be spiritual but it's not ok to use it as a crutch.
Disagree with this. The big Apple inn in Mississippi used church funds & food to host strategy sessions for the freedom rides. There are plenty of other instances in which the black church has done to help the black community.

Don’t forget about the black universities they helped build

Black men attendance dropped like 70%

over the last few decades

pastors started cuddling up to the sisters and started hustling the women with their talk and a few was getting away from the Bible scriptures

Let's not just blame that on the church and pastors. Black men have contributed to the downfall by not going to church and being an example. If they just go and show up they influence their families. I've been in these churches for a long time. I've been around black men for a long time. There's some good churches out there teaching the bible, and there's black men that are looking to do things their own way. That doesn't line up with what the scriptures say. You have to submit yourself to God and a lot of people just don't want to do that.

But it will happen anyway. You bow down willingly now or you get forced to later and still won't get any benefit.

When those angels are staring you in the face and throwing you into utter darkness, don't cry then, it's too late.

I know some of yall are gonna be like "they've been saying we're in the last days for years now" but the evidence is there

The worshipping of money, sexual promiscuity, recklessness, and nihilism being celebrated in the mainstream, the worshipping of idols like Trump, the pandemic, general apathy towards God

There's really people on social media defending Lil Nas X and his satanic shoe with their heart and soul
:francis:

That alone should tell you what direction the world is going

At the exact same time America is falling apart.

Wonder if there is some kind of correlation ??????

America has been wicked since it’s inception. Church attendance isn’t an indicator of the moral compass of this country u buffoon.

Most men are solution-oriented.

It’s not in our nature to sit and be lectured to about some feel-good shyt when the world is outside burning around us. That’s what Malcolm understood when he created two separate orgs after his spilt from the NOI. One of his orgs was more religious for those types and the other more secular for problem solving.

The Black Church needs to reimagine itself as a problem solver in the community, using scripture to guide.

Men will gravitate to the work being done.

But, asking men to show up so they can get their weekly dose of feel-good messaging is falling out of favor fast. Add the fact that we have to dress up for it and sit for hours. We’re good on that. Tradition has to evolve.

maybe. While I don't subscribe to religion... some people need it. I divested but I supplemented the teachings with additional philosophies. Not the best time for moral absenteeism imho.
