Cmac 3.6 yds a carry

He did have the best *cough* tight end blocking for him though lol

It does need to be talked about. The Chiefs forced two teams excellent at running to go away from it. More extreme in Baltimores case but it was effective.

The looks they showed both teams had the opposing offensive coordinators thinking ok. They are daring us to throw by loading up the box. Let’s throw.

Meanwhile the Chiefs knew they would do that and made more adjustments and slowed down two very good offenses and made them go away from their bread and butter

Funny how forcing the 2x MVP QB to throw the ball is a winning strategy in the playoffs.

Don’t know why people keep repeating this but the chiefs didn’t force the Ravens to stop running the ball. We didn’t even try, playcalling went full panic mode when the Chiefs scored twice.

I can concede that Technically nobody can FORCE you to stop running.

It was a combo of being scared of Chiefs turning the game into a blowout when they scored twice early and the Chiefs also showed run blitzes consistently and walked guys into the box even though most of the time it was a bluff.

The Ravens flat out got outcoached. They were so scared of Mahomes even though the score was within reach for the whole game. The Chiefs played like they were taking away the run and the Ravens fell into the trap. Those two things can be right at the same time

They actually didn’t show run blitzes that much, it was more so them disguising their man/zone secondary coverages and Spags knowing exactly what passing concepts we were going to do and then Lamar freelancing to bait the Chiefs into big plays but the Chiefs secondary is great and disciplined against the scramble drill.

Ravens were constantly scheming for big passing plays because we panicked again and again.

Hmm, it's like they didnt want him to run :jbhmm:

That's exactly the same as wanting Purdy, who only has passing as an option, that some said had the best qb rating season ever as a 49er to pass.

Sorry but if you want someone’s QB to throw the ball because as a QUARTERBACK that is their weakness, then yikes!
