it can go either way of course, but if the dad is dark the child usually comes out closer to his color. dark skin women and light skin men usually always have light skin babies. thats why i think the dad gene is dominant.

How is it "ignorant and weird"? It's as natural as anything else. African Americans are damaged due to the one drop rule so they are always trying to "claim" mixed people, thereby biasing things, but this is not the case everywhere in the Americas. In some countries mixed people chill with themselves or other groups besides black, and blacks chill alone.

People often choose to group together according to similarities, so I don't see it as weird. There are not many light skinned people for light skins to fall together when it comes to personality similarities and grouping, but I'm sure it happens in more widely mixed countries where straight racial groups aren't huge compared to mixed ones.
