They asked Lue what his message was to LeBron....
"You have to let me coach you. You have to let me hold you accountable".
That's what this shyt is all about. Trying to convince a 32 year old man to let himself be instructed and humble himself enough to accept responsibility. That's what his time in Cleveland has been all about. Ask yourself why the Cavs organization never threw big money or heavily courted a winning, reputable coach? Because coaches like that don't want any part of Bron, and Bron doesn't want any part of the structure and discipline most winning coaches enforce.
Bron is a hall of fame, top 10-15 player in the history of league...I would never say otherwise. He sabotaged his own greatness though because of a lack of humility...a lack of the self awareness needed to understand you don't have all the answers. It's ultimately what will keep him from being seriously mentioned with winners like Jordan, Magic and Kobe. Because beyond all those stats was a grown man who would rather be coached by the those intimidated by him than win with structure and accountability.
Kobe, Magic and Jordan had fathers in their lives....never underestimate that consistent male presence....even Jordan discusses the importance of having a father to turn to for advice when he was getting mollywhopped by the Knicks
