I would say that Lebron becoming a villain is the best thing to happen to him as a player. And you're right, there is always going to be temporary negative PR, but that happens to every player including jordan. In the grand scheme I don't think its going to be a big deal.

Is there something wrong with player coaches? You think Mike Browns and Blatt's great records have to do with coaching? There are plenty of player coaches in all different types of sports. You don't see people complain when Manning does it? Some players understand the game better than others and should be given more leeway to make decisions.
