Tyrion is a Lannister to the core and proud of it. Despite his fued with Cersei his main goal, besides gaining power for himself, is to make sure the Lannisters run shyt. Exposing the incest would do nothing but hurt the fam. He just uses it as a subtle bargaining chip. He thinks Joeffry is a jackass but he tries his best to get that little nikka to have some semblance of competence. And that's another reason he has so much reverence for his pops. Tywin does everything with House Lannister in mind.

Like someone said, Tywin's disgusted that Jamie, the good son, for all of his strength & good looks isn't quite what he imagined his heir to be. He can't inherit anything anyway but that's beside the point. Jamie didnt live up to the expectations Tywin had for him.



But his Dwarf son, that's the one who ended up inheriting his intelligence & wit Then you add the fact that he's a dwarf..........and he killed the only woman he loved. From Tywin's POV, its a sick joke GOT is basically Europe in the Middle Ages.....deformed babies got left on the mountains back then. All that hatred he feels toward Tyrion would be gone if he was 6"1 & able bodied, and in that hypothetical situation, you'd have a Michael-Fredo Godfather type beef between the older & younger brother outside of the fact that Jamie could still kick his ass.



Basically, I think Tywin could get over the fact that his wife died if Tyrion wasn't a dwarf

It always struck me that Tywin is smart enough to know who the real pops of the "Barentheon" kids were, but he just ignored that on some "they're pure Lannisters" type of thought.

how can he not know.. Stannis sent letters to EVERY damn place in the world.. it even got back to Joffrey who said "some people believe it" so I'd imagine Tywin at least heard about the "rumor" he have to at least think about the possibility


but what's he gonna do... address it?? and get his family kicked off the throne. they're kings and queens and royalty until the bloodline stops or they are all killed... he's not giving that shyt up to tell on himself
