You got edited footage of where it seems Banner telling people to take guns to law enforcement, when that's not even all of the content covered at the town hall meeting. It's good to cover all potential options we could take, and white media specifically chose to zoom in on this one. Banner addressed it this morning.

He's an idiot, and he's been sending the wrong message for a minute. He was just talking about how there are too many guns on the street, and how we need to learn to talk our issues out, yet he's on stage about to scrap with another bruh who's telling him that arming up and trying to retaliate with firearms isn't the way. Lyfe has been locked up. He's seen the repercussions firsthand. Banner's been a fake revolutionary for awhile. You can't front like you care about the community, and then turn around and perpetuate the same violence right back into it. Chuck D said it best this week, "Police need to put theirs down, we shouldn't have to pick ours up."

Sometimes I think that they don't want to get involved because they are trying to enjoy their "American Dream" middle class lifestyles that they've put in blood sweat and tears for. It sucks, but I see both sides of the coin. Profiling is very real, not only are a lot of cops prejudiced, but they will treat you any kind of way if they don't think you can afford to take legal recourse for police misconduct.

I'm sure a lot of the professionals in our communities look at guys like Eric Garner & Alton Sterling and think, this is fukked up, but I don't think this would happen to me.

I don't see his opinion being too ridiculous to be put out there at a venue where we voice our frustrations and try to find the common solution. Now we not gonna always agree, but they know that coming in and they have discussions that need to be had. Banner's opinion is that its time to exercise self defense, from all sides.

We at a point we do exactly what an officer says, and still get killed. On camera, and no disciplinary action is taken. At a certain point, when our lives are in danger, you get to a point where people want to exercise their rights to bare arms and protect themselves.

But the point is that this is for OUR ears to discuss among each other. Me and you disagreeing is between US, our common interest being our people. But we stay having these infiltrators sneak into our shyt when its none of their business.

I get what Banner is trying to say, idealistically it seems like it's the only choice. All out retaliation. But realistically, what's really going to happen?

There'll be maybe 5/100 people that would be willing to push it to that limit. Fewer who would be effective at it. While brave, it is throwing your life away. Very reckless and irresponsible for him to tell people to go down that road out of raw anger. Self defense? Sure. But if he meant going on the attack, Lyfe Jennings had every right to put him in check.

Killer Mike's way is ultimately the most efficient and effective way to go about this situation. It'll take more patience and discipline, but that's why it'll reap the most rewards as well.

While I understand the logic and believe it's relevant to discussing him, you can't just write him off for making this or that song over a decade ago.

He has plenty of things you can come at him for in the now, like calling for people to shoot random police...but I feel like you can't limit a mans growth without in turn limiting your own.

Killer Mike's way is ultimately the most efficient and effective way to go about this situation. It'll take more patience and discipline, but that's why it'll reap the most rewards as well.

I personally feel Mike's plan is the best plan too. But what I think Banner is getting at is that its easier to inspire our people through physical action over money. We got to pretty much tell people its time change how we handle our money, and you know that's gonna cause some heavy resistance. Folks don't like to be told what to do with they money.
