this is wrong when you try to have conversations in the black community, you always have people who have no way to articulate their feelings with words and it turns into "that supid" or something derogatory where you feel the next action has to be physical.

Idk how to fix this but i dont think going out shooting people with military weapons and giving them a reason to shoot since they trigger happy in the first place is the answer. All that will happen is create more trigger happy cops and theres too many bad ones as it is.

Cops power needs to be stripped until they act professionally. The system in place right now works to their advantage. These guys know how to harass people and have them settle in court taking charges that were bullshyt in first place to put people away. Illegal searches, they "turn the cameras off". shyt they pull is horrendous.

I get what Banner is trying to say, idealistically it seems like it's the only choice. All out retaliation. But realistically, what's really going to happen?

There'll be maybe 5/100 people that would be willing to push it to that limit. Fewer who would be effective at it. While brave, it is throwing your life away. Very reckless and irresponsible for him to tell people to go down that road out of raw anger. Self defense? Sure. But if he meant going on the attack, Lyfe Jennings had every right to put him in check.

Killer Mike's way is ultimately the most efficient and effective way to go about this situation. It'll take more patience and discipline, but that's why it'll reap the most rewards as well.

Very true, but ultimately it's just what has to be done. Eventually if everyone keeps hearing/being nagged about it, things will change. But that point also leads me to another reason why I make such an emphasis on ideals vs reality. We'd be counting on those same people to give up everything in an all out war when they roll their eyes when asked to give up their daily small comfort zones as minimal as they are. Push comes to shove and they aren't going to go to the extra limit which leaves those who do taking the losses for minimal gain.

It's much more likely to convince people to give up a little at a time. But it's got to be consistent. Small steps while not glamorous all add up. A small gain each day is 365 gains in a year. The more people applying that mentality and the impact will be felt. It will also help reinforce positive habits where it won't seem like a strain down the line. But the problem is consistency and always has been. If you can beat that monster, confidence and independence will grow from there. It's along the same lines Killer Mike was saying, each person donates $100 dollars and that's a major lump sum donation. However, imagine if that was $100 every few months. Not only does that make great total gains, but it also puts an emphasis on consistency with a direct feedback.
