Its about restraining govt. :comeon:

But i'll play the anarchist if thats all you can gather from my post.:manny:
Slavery and much of the worlds greatest evils were and are facilitated by govt. How do you find govt. to be a net good?
Could be better could be worse, only thing that's certain is how bad govt. has proven to be...

That said, it's about restraining govt. not ending. The purpose of the constitution is to restrain govt. which shows even back then, the threat govt posed.

With regard to America, if you look deeper into the issues you'll see that it's not government as a whole that's "bad", but it's mainly the private interests behind them that are using the government for their own interests.

Even guys like Adam Smith were well aware of this dynamic and condemned it.

Private companies can easily be swayed and forced out of business. When government makes rules....it's way different. Too bad both are at hand in this.

How can private companies be "easily" swayed and forced out of business? And why is it not possible for the same to happen with governments?

What's the alternative? No government, and private companies doing the same thing with no restrictions whatsoever?

You can trust the corporation, it's only the government who is bad
Corporations smell like lemon pledge

1. Private companies rely on think-tank groups funds and government contracts to push. Without government rules, laws and regulations , it's funding would collapse or those enforcing it would get major push back from the public.

2. The government depending on who runs it( Bloods or Crips), the congressmen would create clauses in the bill that have to be reviewed by courts and repealed it. But if it's given to a republican or democrat judge depending on who's running what at the time, they would deny a repeal. Also sometimes the clauses are so deep in the bill, many don't read before signing it and it passes.

2A. The Government which can hire a bank to pass out the funds to the proper areas to enforce it's laws. This is why Police are looking more like the Military because their funding has increased.

The only way you can stop that is stop voting for the 2 party system and rely on independent parties to run and make sure you have over-site on their choices but the 2 party gang isn't going anywhere. Corporations and Governments before 9/11 have been intertwined.

Uncertain grounds
They failed all long time ago.

Yea, perhaps, but this is overkill. I mean really, there is very little integrity there anymore. If you look at the "type" of people who aspire to be politicians and judges, you probably wouldn't be surprised at the results in conjunction with the oligarchical bureaucracy in place, but it is still disappointing. The people best suited for these jobs generally want nothing to do with them because they don't want to get involved in the dirty game. My father was actually a state prosecutor early in his career and was asked to be a judge, but he decided that he wanted to help people stay out of jail rather than put people in jail, and became a criminal defense attorney.

When it comes to politics...every section down to Sheriff has a political party and agenda. It's been like that for years. The problem is the dumb public keep assuming these people they vote for care about their needs when in reality it's about affiliation to the parties and what kind of funds will be push their way.

Well you don't have to eliminate government to cut off government funding for private companies, you just cut off government funding for private companies. If the companies aren't working directly for the good of the public and instead using public funding to make private profits, then you cut it.

In your situation, corporations - completely unaccountable to anyone - wouldn't just sit down and spontaneously collapse, they'd look for new ways to maximize profit with policies that would end up having disastrous effects on workers and the general population

Why even mention 2 and 2A if you acknowledge that we do in fact have the power to influence government policies (and have done so in major ways in the past)?

1. I agree
2. Policies have to be regulated through government. They may have policies that are only to their corporation but once outside, it's government's regulatory.
3. I just placed it in there as another example.

:dwillhuh: I thought you meant a situation with no government regulation at all.

In that case we fundamentally agree. But I think in a lot of ways this private tyranny that's been created is more oppressive than any state tyranny we've ever had.

When Corporations and Governments are intertwined it's Fascism. But it's been going on for a long time.
