I don't see any reason to believe Baby can't last if he doesn't shift gears and right the ship. You say that, but guys like Travis Scott, Meek, Thug, Future, etc are quietly 10+ years into the game and still relevant in large part because they took their music seriously and weathered storms. There was absolutely a point in Future career where he could've fell off and never recovered, but he kept it music, reinvented himself and stayed on.

Baby's at that point now.

Baby hasn’t demonstrated the wherewithal to do that. All those dudes you listed are more talented than he is even though I’m not even fans of all of them.

Damn AK is spitting facts. Who would have thought?

Rap really be on some prisoner of the moment dikkrider shyt. There's a certain type of "fan" derives all their opinions based on if they think a loud enough consensus of other people believe it too. Follower ass nikkas co-sign it to think they're "in touch". Look at this thread. If the takes in here were made in January nikkas would be calling you all sorts of flabby and telling you to touch grass

It's a shame that rap has devolved into this high school popularity shyt. This is also how that Lil Wayne "best rapper alive" shyt was able to stick and imo is the reason for the Gucci and Boosie waves as well. Low vibration nikkas who were so enamored by his image and the murder beefs drowned out people with working eardrums and somehow julezed him into "legend" status in spite of his numerous flops.

I'll never forget in school a nikka tried to clown me for listening to A Kid Name Cudi on some "What the fukk is a Kid Cudi :mjlol: " shyt, only for Day N Night to become a smash hit months later and this dude started unironically start acting like some huge fan. goofy shyt

Day and Night was no where near a smash hit my guy, stop it. It actually has gotten more popular after the fact because it's used in movies and shyt. It's a cool song, just saying :manny:

None of that shyt AK posted is gonna work. And the reason for that is unless you’re a special kind of artist(which Lil Baby isn’t) 3-5 years is about how long you’re going to last.

Hell even if you go back to the 80s-90s even the most legendary acts of that timeframe were done in that time. Just the life cycle of a rap artist

Undoubtedly the cold hard truth. The best thing his label could have done was demanded a second release within a calendar year of the first. He would have been able to ride that momentum into a grace period. Depending on how well the second was received he then could take his time for the third rises gis the people really felt about him

My god what a lie this is. You know that song is 5x plat right? It was like top 5 on billboard from the album version in spite of being on a free mixtape a year before

AK is right in this situation but he’s just talking about it so he has something to talk about

He just described his own career
