None of that shyt AK posted is gonna work. And the reason for that is unless you’re a special kind of artist(which Lil Baby isn’t) 3-5 years is about how long you’re going to last.

Hell even if you go back to the 80s-90s even the most legendary acts of that timeframe were done in that time. Just the life cycle of a rap artist

My Turn dropped three years ago.
Dugg & Rylo played a big role in the sauce he put on display during his 2020 peak year. Dugg is locked and Rylo just started coming back around (I'm guessing Baby realized he needs him)

I don't see any reason to believe Baby can't last if he doesn't shift gears and right the ship. You say that, but guys like Travis Scott, Meek, Thug, Future, etc are quietly 10+ years into the game and still relevant in large part because they took their music seriously and weathered storms. There was absolutely a point in Future career where he could've fell off and never recovered, but he kept it music, reinvented himself and stayed on.

Baby's at that point now.

Honestly, Lil Baby kinda jumped the shark, not just with the last album, but when the Grammy 50 years of hip-hop performance happened and everyone was hyped and it's a party and then Lil Baby comes on performing Freestyle which otherwise is a fire track, but it slowed everything down. He looked out of place.

Freestyle one of his top tracks :wow:

I was dying at some of the old guard trying to push the “nah baby really do be spittin spittin” narrative when his big album dropped a few years back … I’m like spittin where? The fukk you nikkas talking about :mjlol: Dude has never been that nice to begin with

Glad it wasn't just me who didn't get it. Still haven't heard anything remotely top tier from son in terms of spitting.
