I was JUST saying this the other day when I saw this. These two NHL teams basically sent out the hit squad to open the game basically just to scrap. The moment the puck dropped it was on they weren't even try to play. The anchors on ESPN were just laughing about it and it was 'sportsmanship'

Now if a black NBA team were to do this we'd be thugs and ghetto and all that.

That may be the case. I really only follow the Blues right now consistently and whatever games come on NBC so I have no idea about the culture of hockey rn as far as other fans (not on any hockey forums or follow hockey fans on twitter).
