YouTube Premium is a hard sell for me, but the trailer for Origin is :ehh:. Didn't realize Osha from Game of Thrones was co-starring as well :ohhh:

YouTube Drops New Trailer For Space Thriller Origin

On the low if you look at what YouTube has in the pipeline and what Apple is developing (especially after the “expensive NBC” news) YouTube Premium is looking WAY better than Apple and I never thought I’d say that.

I haven't really been paying attention to what shows YouTube has in development. I know they got a lot of good buzz from Cobra Kai earlier this year. I think their biggest challenge will be shifting the perception YouTube is a place you go to for quality original series, instead of short clips and user generated content.

Apple's stance definitely seems :patrice:, considering they like to remain in secrecy and just drop press releases. Still have no idea how they plan to deliver the content and are probably the biggest X factor in the streaming wars which will really heat up next year.

I have a feeling that Comcast is going pull NBC produced shows from Hulu sometime in the next year to start their own streaming service. Especially with Disney owning a majority of Hulu.

If they start their own service then they'll probably drop their licensing deal with HBO that allows HBO to air their movies.

The domino effect of Disney buying Fox will end up affecting the whole industry by the end.
I was reading an article where a couple different predictions were being made about the future of Hulu:

1. Disney would sell their 60% shares of Hulu to Comcast because Hulu has been such a money loser since it's creation and with Disney starting it's own streaming service owning Hulu would be a waste business wise.

2. Comcast and Disney would agree to work together to make Hulu successful as part of a combined effort to put a halt to Netflix's domination of the streaming realm.
