Netflix really on that 4 seasons is enough
I didn't watch this, but as a creator or actor you've gotta go into a deal with Netflix knowing you're getting 3 seasons max, 4 if you're lucky at this point.
At first it felt like a trend, now it just looks like their new business model
Yeah, since they're not ad supported or dependent on 1-2 flagship series for subs, I guess they feel that there's no incentive to make long running shows.
A show isn't likely to "pop" or dramatically increase their subs after the 1st or 2nd season, and casts (and therefore the show) gets more expensive the longer it's on the air, so it makes better financial sense to make the 1st Season of a new show that may get you new subs and attention instead of paying more for a 4th Season of a show that isn't going to get you either.
