This might be the most unfairly slept on show on here. Particularly for a forum with a lot of Black posters.
I'm not exaggerating when I say shyt is absolute genius. One of the few shows in recent memory that made me laugh till I cried.
I’m gonna be 100% honest.
I watched I think the 1st 2 episodes. I thought it was funny, but for some reason I felt like I “got it” and didn’t need to watch the rest.
I’m sure the rest were just as good or even better, and I might pick it up later.
Yeah - you missed The Morris Day episode if you just watched the first two. And the Mary J Blige ep. Every episode had some fire jokes in it. The fukking songs. All of them were perfectly written. I laugh/cried at the Anita Baker homage they did. I won't spoil it for you, but shyt was incredible.
You did yourself a disservice by tapping out early though - there is a narrative thread that runs through the whole season which gets paid off amazingly in the finale.
The Black History special that aired last night is free on AMC right now - I posted the link in the thread. They absolutely killed it. Show me another show which features a 'Black Vampire Roundtable' with the other vampires looking down on Blade as a 'Daylatto' because he can go out in the sun.
I bang with a lot of shows - but this one, I don't know if I'll ever stop singing its praises.
I’ll give it another shot. I’m sure it’s good, maybe I just wasn’t in the mood.
I’ll start it again and not just from the 2 I saw.

Taina from Nickelodeon is all grown-up and a sitcom wife now
Will Sasso was a top MadTV cast member
NBC going with a stable schedule. Interesting that B99 is on in the fall now and not held for midseason
I see this all the time thoughSitcoms still doing the "shlubby dude married to a hot woman" thing, huh?
Yellowstone did 4.2 million last night, making it Viacom's most successful scripted show in 10 years
