I hear u. I've known cool Moroccans too, but, tbf, much like with the tourism, we were giving to them.
One of my ex was Moroccan and their fam was cool but they were very liberal/Americanized. Many Moroccans are very liberal when it comes to Islam and "pseudo-Arab" culture.
IMO Algerians are the least racist compared to others in the Maghreb(also the more pan-Africanist) while Tunisians and Libyans are the most racist. Moroccans are intermediate.

Perhaps it's because Algeria's early post-independence were pan-Africanists of a sort.

People always make that mistake of conflating individual dynamics and groups dynamics.
I have a lot of very good friends who are NA/Arabs, but I still know what time it is when to come to Black - NA dynamic.
