  • Apple and Google can delete them but they are web based platforms that you can still visit in your browser, so what's you point?
  • You've moved the goal post so far from your own original argument - yes and the groups and users were purged just like Parler was purged because the overwhelming majority of it supported the incitement.
  • How exactly does a Parler admin identify everyone? Who bans the Parler admins and site owners? This is circular nonsense.
We're only having this back and forth because you refuse to acknowledge the fact that Parler was the HQ for the attacks that you supposedly believe were a stain on democracy. While trying to deflect to some sort of "big tech" boogie man.
  • Yeah they should delete them if they want to be consistent and Parler is also still on the web to. Parler is back online -- barely: Here's everything you need to know
  • Uh I just posted a link showing facebook was also a hub for planning such attacks as well and had thousands of groups with over a million members participating in such rhetoric and it wad only removed by them when pressured by an outside group.
  • Oh they have these things called algorithms that can identify phrases and flag them for admins. I thought everyone knew about those. lol
I did acknowledge that and I also acknowledge other social platforms had those type of things going on to. You seem to be juelzing how they are different.

:dwillhuh:

Parler existed solely because right wing fanatics, Qanons and Nazis couldn't handle being the object of constant ridicule and attention based of how sh*tty their opinions are on the rest of social media. It was literally a safe space for some of the most horrible people but was allowed to exist before it was used to plan, coordinate and ultimately contain evidence of a coup.

Just to be precise:

Study: Parler users were more likely veterans or in military
Parler has a greater share of users who are either veterans or in the U.S. military compared with other social media platforms.
The findings come from research by Disqo, a company based in Glendale, California, that signs up volunteers from among users of social media platforms who allow their online presence to be tracked.
While the overall number of military personnel and veterans on social media sites is small compared with the platforms’ user base, on Parler there was a greater chance of picking a member at random and finding that person to have a military background, said Anne Hunter, vice president of product marketing at Disqo.

  • Facebook and Twitter's existence is not to cater to one specific type of people's existence - do you actually understand this?
  • They actually removed content, what exactly did Parler do in the aftermath? - this is rhetorical btw, we both know the answer
  • Algorithms :lolbron:...an app whose entire existence which hung in the balance of its AWS account is not sophisticated enough to institute algorithms. We're talking about the same app whose lack of basic email verification of its frontend leading to security professionals creating as many accounts as they wanted pivoting those accounts to admin accounts while casually dumping all the backend databases...yeah, algorithms.

I thought this was about inciting violence, not whom your site caters to? Make up your mind please.

Know how I know you're just posting to be posting....
Dude you forgot you corrected that post and said,
Parler was a majority racist and white supremacy sympathizers but that wasn't the reason they were deplatformed. If it was, they would have been gone long before now.

Facts are facts whether they're convenient for you or the narrative.

So you can answer the question now. lol

OK, why can't you answer direct questions? You go off on tangents about info no one even asked about.

Thousands of Facebook Groups buzzed with calls for violence ahead of U.S. election

Facebook did the same thing. But they weren't deplatformed. Why?

I don't care about Parler, what I'm getting at is Facebook and Twitter are getting away with what Parler can't. Are you not curious why? Doesn't it point to them having too much power?
From what I have read, they went after Parler because they did no moderation of violent content. Facebook, no matter how poorly they moderate, actually tries to moderate.
