I see that Mr. Morrison has his e-marketing team trained and at the ready. :coffee: I see a whole lot of talking and still no specific accounting records, financial procedures, records showing allocation and distribution of resources from his coalition. I guess we just take people at their word, as long as they use the right words to speak, oh ok. Noted.

This is why financial literacy needs to be incorporated in curriculum and all potential investors should be educated in the same. Ignorance is bliss. But I’ll let the SEColi and ColiContract Legal Anal-lists tell it.:coffee:

I don't know why you are so stuck in this, you're a good poster outside of this

But you not understanding that the SEC would never come after you is a strong sign you don't really know enough to give a good criticism of tref

It's been explained that a lot of the wordings are boiler plate words that have to be put in there for legal reasons

It's been explained that tref being profitable is neither here nor there if it's just starting out

It's all been explained but you insist on being a hard head

Bruh, you keep saying i'm not understanding shyt yet you're not addressing extremely basic questions and observations

TREF has been around for 4 years going on 5...yet they STILL haven't made a profit and don't know if they ever will <<< show me where this is normal. seriously. links please.

and what about this tidbit: "Members will not have the opportunity to evaluate some of our investments before we make them, which makes investments more speculative."

conjecture? what is that!? let's look:

  • con·jec·ture
  1. an opinion or conclusion formed on the basis of incomplete information.
^^TREF IS ASKING PEOPLE TO MAKE AN INVESTMENT IN THEIR COMPANY BASED ON INCOMPLETE INFORMATION. IT SAYS IT RIGHT HERE :mindblown:

at this point you dudes are nothing more than the "POPULAR OPINION POLICE"...yes everybody likes Jay, everybody likes what TREF stands for..i need to just STFU and fall in line :snoop:

Breh and brehette y'all are truly bugging out

Tref has complied with all sec regulations, it has submitted all the paperwork that needs to submitted, its a legit crowdfunded Reit

2. The statements you are quoting are found in any prospectus of any public company, look at Google, Facebook and Apple, their sec filings say the same thing, it's boiler plate language.
If that language was not in there it would definitely be a scam and they would not have gotten sec approval

3.tref has its ipo last year, so it's not a big deal if it's not showing a profit the first year there are a lot of companies that operate at a loss.

Stop this Quixote quest breh

tref may or may not be a good investment, nobody knows for sure, but tref is not a scam

back to more important subjects that youl have actual knowledge of. I don't know where the MJ thread is but Did you read that story about the Time Warner shareholder writing a letter complaining about Leaving Neverland, apparently one of the reasons the head of HBO got fired in Feb was related to him green lighting LN and opening up HBO to the lawsuit by the estate, the Mj rabbit hole is getting deeper

They're humiliated that the fund is actually taking off and not a scam. Some people flat out have broken spirits.

Pretty much. His pot is too small right now to see any major gains. And his mgt fee is eating up 2/3rds of the preferred return that he’s promising people. His investors would do just as good putting up that $500 in a high yield CD.

:mjlol:

Breh, tell me you really didn’t write a letter to Primo for a job like this is 1950s Montgomery, Alabama?

Yes, Primo is a mentor of mine. Families attended the same church. And I sit on the board of a foundation that oversees the Primo Center for Women and Children.

Will be seeing him at a gala in a few weeks.

This is correct. The SEC wears many hats. However, and this is what I was responding to, the SEC is not playing eenie meenie minee moe randomly picking companies to investigate. There has to be a catalyst. Auditors have to report to the PCAOB on fraud and misappropriation for the companies they audit. The suspected fraud is not reported directly to the SEC, however, the SEC is closely monitoring those PCAOB reports. If there is any suspected activity, the SEC is proactive and investigates. The SEC monitors trading and market activity. If there is talk on the street of trading or market irregularities, the SEC investigates. The SEC is pro actively monitoring, but it’s typically something that catches their eyes. Yes, the SEC has a compliance function so investigations can be initiated because of failures in compliance.

In this case of TREF, it may have been “a whistleblower” or that NFL report since the NFL report supposedly preceded its own investigation.

I know who you are. Dont worry I'm not the type to put people's identities out there.

Taking off with a $0 net income, no profit/loss statement, 0 reported annual income off the fund, 0 ROI, 0 people who confirm their investment income through his plan and 0 accounting disclosures over a 4 yr period of time? That’s not adding up. He’s funding this fund off funds from funders. Not to mention the fund is on the SEC watchlist. Dude is making off like Madoff.. word to Ponzi.

:francis:

I think Jay is a finesser but I don’t think he’s stupid enough to make claims like this, and them be false, while still being investigated by the SEC.

I hope he’s successful. I really do.

So this video was posted the other day

As a result, Jay Morrison wound up deleting their most recent video from youtube because all of the comments were negative, here were just the first comments at the top:

I feel bad for all you who invested with this carnival barker. Only those who are lead by sentimentality would do so. Because reading the prospectus would tell you--this ain't a fund to place funds in. No experience or formal education, plus on going allegations of theft! That said, education has never been free, and unfortunately for those who donated to this charity, you will become schooled in real world business!

I trusted you but you turned out to be a fraud. It's been over two years, since I invested in your crowdfunding scheme and have not received any returns. How dare you use the legacy of Tulsa Oklahoma and Marcus Garvey to get money from us. This is crazy! Antonio Moore and Yvette Carnell were right about you. I will never support people like you.

Why the legacy center and not apartments or hotels? Why not build the legacy center after getting established and building your cash flow? Why buy out buildings 100% instead of leveraging and using banks to fund the deals?

Did you ever find out the outcome of the SEC investigation? Or have there even been an outcome that has been determined yet?
