I had the exact same experience. I loaded one of the last 10 episodes or so expecting shyt to be laughable but they still had some exciting wrestling and then the storylines while out there were actually entertaining. Maybe it's a case of you had to be following week to week to appreciate how random and absurd the storylines were.Brehs gonna sound like Im bullshytting yall but watch Nitro 261. I previously put over all the fukkery of the late WCW PPV's but back then they aint have the nitros....
If this Nitro was on monday at 8 and it would shyt ALLL OVER the garbage on TV now.I put it on for kicks thinking I'd skip through but I sat through the WHOLE show. Wasnt a bunch of wrestling, just storylines all day interwoven with practically the whole roster. fukkery through the roof, MAD pre taped segments. Dont wanna give anything away honestly. At the time in 2000 I didnt fukk with WCW at all so all of this is new to me.
Dont fukk with That 70s guys bus.
David Flair going insane with a golden crowbar around the city
Disco Inferno with the Disco Duck...The Kat as the commish
I WONT EVEN SAY MORE
Vince Russo underrated as hell, dudes writing plus on screen work is
Mad layers to this shyt, you can tell a ton of effort was put into this show, dying or not.

It's the opposite. Following it week to week made you feel like you were watching a show slowly trying to drive you insane.
Late 99 was GOAT. Wwf was on top of the worldI'm watching late 1999 RAWs
One thing that struck me was continuity.
During Triple H's feud with Vince, Vince was powerless to do anything due to a stipulation he put in place back when he was still feuding with Austin MONTHS AGO.
Shane fought Taker at WM for control of RAW and lost, but that was thrown in the bushes the next night![]()
They did a great job rebuilding him and establishing him as a babyface. He was REALLY over in 97.I swear Luger from 96-97 had a like Goldberg esque undefeated streak....bruh won EVERY week on Nitro and him beating Hogan was one of the GOAT Nitro moments.
I've never been a big fan but he was very well booked and protected around that period but he didn't have anywhere to go once Hogan got the belt back at Road Wild.....shoulld've had a longer run with the belt although I guess they had to build to Hogan/Sting at Starrcade. They shoulda just had Hogan win the belt back at Halloween Havoc. fukk that garbage Piper shyt![]()
That had a great ending. The roof came off at the end when Austen's music hitWatching the RAW were Austin returns to help Team WWE during the invasion

Oh my god, this shyt would never end and got dumber by the week. It already started with a baseline of a D- because it involved JJ but it went on for EVER. One of my least favorite wcw storylines of all time. The NEVER fukkING ENDING Mongo/Jeff angle that had been going on for about 6 months
