Kind of in a 2004 mode, watched Judgement Day and two things stand out
1. Cena vs Rene fukkin Dupree was actually a weirdly good match and the crowd was more into that than anything all night. You can tell they thought Cena was the future because it's a very, very well thought out match that makes him look as good as possible and the crowd was SUPER into it.
2. JBL vs Eddie is nuts and they easily could have stretched that feud out at least to Summerslam if not the rest of the year. To get that bloody and violent in the first match (and wtf the key angle was footage from a HOUSE SHOW where JBL gave Eddie's mom a heart attack, I don't think there had been a major house show angle for the world title since Diesel/Backlund), it seems like such an intense feud only to basically end a month or so later. They only had 3 matches, JBL won all of them and by Survivor Series, Eddie is feuding with Luther fukking Reigns.
I also looked at what matches Eddie had as champ, there was a title defense against Rey the SD after WM that's very interesting because Rey won a gauntlet to get the shot and came into it hurt, and once he shows Eddie up in the first minute or two, Eddie switches to working heel most of the match despite being a wildly popular face champion, but wins clean and the fans never leave him.
