I'm glad u watched it, but......Stop hatin :comeon: that was a GREAT show.

I wouldnt give it show of the year in 08, but I completely disagree that it wasn't a good year quality wise. Every WWE ppv in 98 was dope with the exception of maybe Rock Bottom. 99 was the year the quality went down a bit.

I mean I could just never get into it. You had Jerry Lynn carry Credible to a decent opener. Lance Storm vs Candido was ok. Tanaka vs Awesome is always good and my definition of a good, hardcore match without the dumb shyt. But then you had Sabu/RVD vs the Japs and the typical ECW shyt starts. They try wrestling for a sec then it goes to botch spot, set up another one, no sell, spot, no sell, spot. Same with Taz/Bam Bam and the the Dudleys vs Dreamer/Sandman/Spike. Just wack arena brawls. 98 was a bad year quality wise. WCW was overdoing the NWO shyt and WWF was being carried soley by Austin. It got better when dudes like Foley, HHH, and the Rock got elevated

kinda wish i could watch the weekly shows leading up to these pay per views...

they need to bring in a Timeline feature or something...at least offer like 2 months leading up to a few choice ppvs so you can see the full buildup and not the video package that is always gonna look good no matter who is facing off.

The Sandman's theme for One Night Stand 2005 was all fukked up. Not only was it an Enter Sandman knockoff, but you could actually hear the real track underneath it at points. It's like they tried to play over it, but you can still hear the original underneath, so the drums go way offbeat and it just sounded horrible. I've had it stuck in my head all day too :skip:

Really? I thought Heatwave 98 was fire man. Hayabusa/Shinzaki vs RVD/Sabu with the table spot. Taz vs Bam Bam. Lynn vs Credible, with the top rope tombstone. Tanaka vs Awesome with the DDT onto the chairs. Dreamer, Sandman, and Spike vs the Dudleys.

Maybe it's the nostalgia. It was one of the first ECW events I watched.

Summerslam 98 was awesome though.
