Curt Henning was seriously bad in WCW in 97. A shadow of is former self. Even his promos were trash.

He had a run in summer 98 with NWO black and white where he got a midcard push against Goldberg and the Wolfpac, and he was killing his promos. He seemed motivated.

Never liked Steve Blackman but watched his match against Shane O Mac at Summerslam for the first time and it was dope. The crowd was really behind him. Blackman seemed like he had some serious momentum too bad they couldn't capitalize on it
He was dope in the hardcore division but he desperately needed a manager if they were gonna do anything else with him

I remember Flair/Perfect from WW3 was good stuff

I've started watching Nitro 1997

- I dont think there is a human/wrestler with less respect for themselves than Virgil, it's secondary hand cringeworthy
- Match quality sucks
- Debra STARES right in the camera EVERYTIME she speaks :mjlol:, funny seeing her break fourth wall EVERY time even tho I know WCW was different than WWE with it

- Bischoff actually annoys me, comes off sooooo try hard looking back and lame even tho you know he thinks he's the coolest thing going

-Its insane the budget WCW had, they randomly run a Nitro at the SUPERDOME the 2nd Nitro of the year and really dont make a big deal out of it

- Need Flair to come back even tho hes carrying a lot of the show w/ the NWO With his promos, hes such a caricature and in a way pretty much no sells the stupid storyline involving the Horseman here w/ Jarrett/Mongo/Arn lol

Since when is staring into the camera when speaking breaking the 4th wall in wrestling :dwillhuh:
I'm pretty sure in WWE you aren't supposed to look at the camera and pretend it doesn't exist during promos/backstage segments?

Maybe in backstage stuff now, but that's pretty recent. People still look directly into the hard cam for in ring promos. Looking directly into the camera for promos was the norm for like...50 years of wrestling promos.

Watching some old school raw in 98, The network actually kept the entire motley crue performance in

The debut of Test for 5 seconds actually being motley crues bodyguard carrying a crazy fan away
Thats how good the booking was back then
he debuted 2 months later for corporation as former bodyguard of motley crue. Made sense

Yea I know the hard camera for for in ring promos, could have swore for backstage promos in the WWE they were supposed to look in the camera or when they are being interviewed
