This was kind of a sign that Austin was turning heel..but no one put it together when it Went down. Who the fukk ever checked Austin like that as a face? Things were changing and this was a clear sign

Flair's booking in 1994 is :russ: as hell when you realize it'es entirely for the benefit of Hulk Hogan. First, he continues to beat the shyt out of the monster Vader, which will never not be :mjlol:, then he revisits classic rivalries with Steamboat, Windham, and Sting, and goes over all of them, showing that he's at the top of his game still, as well as essentially being a face the whole time. All so when Hogan comes in and goes over, he's not beating used up has been Flair. :pachaha:

Also Jesus Christ the violence in the Cactus vs Nastys feud :picard:

I watched Hogan vs Flair from MSG in December of 91. It's under old school I think on the network. There has to be to it why they didn't go with that program than it wasn't doing good business or getting good receptions at house shows. The crowd at the garden was live as fukk for it. It was a pretty good match too, had a good pace and played to each wrestlers strengths.

I said this to a couple friends when I watched it too. the MSG crowd was molten and it's a damn good match. Shame we didn't get it at Mania.

Tonight Slamboree and part of BATB 94, but I fairly recently watched Superbrawl and SS 94, and Flair's booking has him as a face (even if he's a heel) beating Vader, Steamboat, Windham, and Sting in in the first half of the year. All so when Hogan comes in and goes over, Flair isn't the washed up trash WCW management thought he was and would have liked to treat him like. In a weird way, Hogan coming in actually got Flair his strongest booking in a solid 4-5 years at that point.

Yeah it was hot at MSG, and it was a good match, but they had done about 20 matches prior to that MSG match that did disappointing business, then another like 15 afterwards that also didn't help business and didn't do big money. Savage/Flair did better business in 1992 than Hogan/Flair did in 1991, weirdly enough, even though business was down more in 1992 than it was from 1991.

For the record, the MSG match with Flair/Hogan drew 11k, which is about half full.
