Jerry Lawler said on his podcast that WWE talking to him about acquiring his part of the Memphis territory library. He only owns the 70's and 90's tho. Two other dudes owns the 80's.

Hopefully they can make a play to get all of it

Cornette said he sold his Smoky Mountain library for 6 figures:whoo:

He doesn't own 88-96. He does own 70s, 1980-1987, and 1996-I assume early 2000s maybe.

@stro what do you think about David Shultz?

I found a best of collection on a torrent site im gonna check out tonight

I don't recall really ever seeing his matches

I don't really have much of an opinion on him. Seems like he probably would have been fun as a rough neck type in Japan, and that one promo at his house on SNME was hilarious.

I wanna watch the mega powers full run and breakup leading to the natch at WM V where do I begin
to see the full program, you would need access to some wwf superstars episodes from the 80s. but you can supplement that with a few youtube videos.

otherwise, start with the 10-3-87 episode of SNME.

Wondering when they're gonna upload WWF Championship Wrestling?:jbhmm:

Watching on youtube a few episodes from 1985. Obviously they would have to dub over some of the music used:francis:

-Opening theme uses MJ's Thriller
-Another segue uses the wanna be starting something instrumental. Think I heard everybody wants to rule the world instrumental at some point
-Queen's another one bites the dust will have to be dubbed with grab them cakes:beli:

Hogan vs Warrior :blessed:

What a perfect cap to the Golden Era. Instead of shytty indie respek stand offs to show they're equal, you have them physically demonstrating their power levels repeatedly until both get chippy and then you have these two super faces trading eye rakes and punches and shoving the refs around. Hogan freaking out when Warrior Hulks Up on him. Warrior being not quite as phased when Hulk Hulks Up. And then the Hulk Up works...until he misses the leg drop. It's pretty subtle, but in all of their tests of strengths and mirror spots, Warrior's are just a little bit stronger, do a little more damage, are a little more aggressive, indicating that Warrior was stronger/meaner/cooler than Hogan. So good, so perfect for the era. 60K people going insane for PEAKNUCKLE.

And then, in one of the most amazing endings to WM that is never talked about, the second to last shot of the show was Hulk Hogan, riding to the back in the ring cart, a broken man, in the dark, as his Hulkamaniacs celebrate their new hero.

Hogan Warrior IS THE shyt. I challenge anyone who hates on it to rewatch it. It's enjoyable asf.
Hogan worked Warrior thru a good sports entertainment match, that told a story, and had a really good ending.

That match was so big that I remember my local abc news station giving the results to the match at the end of their newscast. They NEVER covered wrestling on the news. I stayed up to find out who won, and was :to: when they said Warrior did.
