He left in October 1999, so they were 5 months without him and that show is by far the worst PPV of 2000 from WWE.
Yeah it's weird, just about every PPV they put out in 2000 was incredible. Mania was the one dud. They tried to cram the whole roster on there with bullshyt tag matches.
You also had Austin and Taker out of commission.
Plus it should've been Rock v HHH one on one. Backlash made up for it though.

Finally got around to doing Showdown at Shea. Not the greatest show by any means, but interesting and a real precursor to the stadium era of WM events. Cole and Foley basically did a MST3K track over it for commentary, spending most of the show making fun of the talent/matches/style and bringing up random trivia from 1980.
