It's really fascinating how dog shyt Raw was in 1993. To the point that between the awful shows and DIRT CHEAP low rentocity of it all, it's amazing that Raw made it to 1994, let alone 2017. Just the way that they'd run angles was enough to make you scream wtf. Raw was immediately their official flagship show once it started, yet they'd do something like the Razor/Kid upset and not follow up on it for NINE WEEKS. Bret and King are heading for a match at Summerslam and they've both been on the show twice in 3 months. One week they had King come out, not even mention Bret, but break Tiny Tim's uke for no reason other than to get some cheap heat. But not for the feud. Just for him. So he could show up again in a month.

That's how shyt was back in the 80s/early 90s tho, you in the Hogan era, you would go weeks without seeing the big stars on WWF Superstars. shyt Hogan would come on MAYBE once a month for a promo, but never wrestle. In 93 they were just barely starting to transition out of that era and figuring out how to make a live show watchable every Monday.


Plus gotta remember they still only had 4-5 PPV's at that point, so it's not like you were building up to a big match every month, you had to stretch shyt out without having guys on TV every week to make it stale.

That's kind of my point. The 80s actually had more progression of storylines between Superstars and a monthly SNME than Raw did as a weekly live show that was supposed to be breaking the traditional booking model. It's hip and fresh and RAW, yet they're filling it with the same old shyt they'd been doing for 15 years.
