The amount of genuinely awful racist shyt said by heel announcers in the 80s is staggering. But often hilarious, so

Jesse V went hard... Piper & Orton were whipping Mr. T, he said "this is like watching Roots II"... the B in Koko B Ware "stands for Buckwheat"... "Chico" Santana with "that Latin temper"... of course various jungle references about Snuka

BUT it was also a time where people didn't get offended by as much, there's lots of stuff heel announcers said on commentary that wouldn't be tolerated without a whole internet boycott today. If it was back then like it is now, Adrian Adonis woulda been pulled off TV in a matter of 2 weeks, Piper woulda had the whole company in trouble for saying "I have children, I don't want them looking at him"... Jake slapping Elizabeth woulda been "WWF teaching children it's OK to hit women"... PETA probably woulda been mad about them using animals nshyt... very very different time

Yeah, you definitely should watch the one after survivor series 98. If nothing else, watch the opening segment and then skip to the main event with Austin vs Rock. Crowd was apesh*t, comeplete with rail jumpers. lol

It looks like the broadcast cutoff around 11:25-11:30. I usually watch on DVR so I can skip commercials. When I tried to get on the WWE Network to watch the exclusive part afterwards, it was nowhere to be found. Hopefully, its on there now.

Spring Stampede 2000 is an all time worst ever PPV. The entire show is 3 different tournaments. Russo tournaments. It's brutal. It's worse than Superbrawl.
