Real name no gimmicks..
Still binging through the 1998 Attitude era year and the shyt is still great TV. A few notes..
-I forgot how originally Sunday Night Heat was used to push main storylines and wasn't a "secondary" show.
-I find it funny how after Triple H won the IC title at Summerslam 98..he got injured and was out for a good 2 months and had to forfeit the title. And DX lightweight suffered after that as well because at that point every member had the main titles. Meanwhile The Rock left The Nation and was shooting up the roster in popularity while D-Lo and Mark Henry became a tag team and Godfather became a pimp. Hunter must have been at home FUMING
-It was also interesting to watch The Rock slowly transition to becoming the People's Champion. And they kept him off the mic as well because they KNEW if he talked more on the mic he would have been equally as popular as Austin. That's why they turned him heel at Survivor Series...however they just delayed the inevitable
-I forgot how Golddust's Shattered Dreams move was the originally punt ..it'll be nice if did that again one day..but that ain't PG
-It was also interesting to see Taker slowly turning and becoming the Ministry of Darkness Taker..
-Seeing Vince for a good 3 weeks getting his ass whooped was ...and everybody talks about Austin driving that zamboni to the ring to give Vince that fade..but NOBODY talks about what happened later on that night with Taker and Kane...
They whipped his ass like he was in prison...shyt had me
-The introduction of Shane McMahon was dope too..especially his promo to Vince about being a man. Ironic now when u watch it..
Watching the Attitude era in 98 is like watching Gotham..watching the characters develop and becoming their destiny ...it's crazy..
