How can you be pro black but choose to lay down with another race? As for the OP I'm remembering every user that picked Scarlett over the Queen Bianca, who actually is very pro black. To show how little I pay attention to all that (and bedbucks, c00n, cacs, etc.), I've generally operated under the assumption that it was a general diss term that referred to any black woman that married outside of her race (read: white), regardless of her stances on things affecting her people. Until now, it was never something I cared to use in my vocabulary. Seemed stupid as fukk.
Kind of like how some people assume there's no way someone can be pro-black if they married white, no matter how hard they actually ride for issues affecting black people.

If your half black spouse has a connection to their black side then it can work, however I've seen too many mulattos be to afraid to call out white supremacy. My stance is that you can't preach black excellence while smashing beckys.Depends on your definition of the term pro-black, whether or not you automatically consider a black person to be "pro-black" solely because they are black, and where you draw the line as to what it applies to and so on and so forth. There's a lot of different factors at play when this topic comes on the table.
Some people draw the line at matters of the heart and feel that it doesn't matter who you decide to be with if you are actively creating dialogue and complementary actions designed for the empowerment, uplifting and overall prosperity of the black race and aren't putting another race above your own.
Some people -- presumably you fall into this category -- consider the building/rebuilding of a black family as an unarguable pillar of being pro-black and cannot fathom the idea of anyone claiming to be for the prosperity of the black race if you're not actively trying ensure you have black kids with a black spouse.
So to that end, can one be pro-black if they lay down someone who is half-black and half-anything else?
