TSC Tag Teams/Stables Evaluation #74: The Nasty Boys

I hated them even as a kid. They were very over and distinctive, but I never once saw the appeal with them. They get a 4 due to overness and having a standout gimmick. I have no recollection of good-great matches from them. I feel like they may have cut solid promos for the time, but I don’t care to devote anymore energy to them.

they won the gold everywhere they went. won the triple-crown - AWA/WWF/WCW.
I didn't see their AWA stuff but they had classics in WWF & WCW.
and they had more classic matches than the hardyz and edge & Christian combined. and the hardyz got a bunch of 10s on here. E&C prolly did too.
if youre attributing their longevity to Hogan, he may have kept them signed in WCW longer than they should've been, but their best days in WCW were before Hogan even got there.

The only 1 that I've given so far for any of the evaluation threads. Not only were they terrible people outside of the ring but also horrendous inside the ring. Even for the people who I dislike, I try to highlight their positive attributes and memorable moments. I really can't think of any for the Nasty Boys.

I'll give them a 5 because of Sags. He was a decent wrestler plus they had that punk looksto them, which was unique at the time.
so are yall gonna fill me in on the real reason why they are getting 1s??
cuz its not because of the in-ring, seeing how they have more classic matches than some of the teams that are getting perfect 10s.
One of them mocked Randy Savage's death.
Also their encounter with Ken Shamrock:
Name the Attitude Era teams who got 10s who you think aren't on the level of the Nasty Boys. Also name some of the classic Nasty Boys matches.

I can see this is going to end up being one of those threads where one person can't possibly believe that someone doesn't like a team/wrestler.

but I don't think off-wax stuff should play a role in the ratings.
all of those attitude teams. and im not saying the nastys are on another level. im not even saying that theyre necessarily better. theyre on the same plane tho.

hart foundation
steiner bros
how many classic tag team matches came out of the attitude era that didn't involve tables, ladders & chairs?? I CANT THINK OF NOT ONE.
