First memorable group since Evolution in my opinion.

1. Chemistry was great because the sum was clearly greater than the parts.

2. Impact was really strong too, considering they had that good feud with the Rhodes brothers that elicited emotion from smart fans (hard to do). The muscle for hire thing isn't new, but they transitioned from that to arbiters of justice.

3. Easy answer. Within two years of their break-up, all three held the world title.

4. Promos were limited but they weren't supposed to have 20 minute monologues to start the show (which I hate btw). Quick and short to get their point over. They were also limited because they also aren't the best promo guys.

5. They worked well together and hid the other teammates' deficiencies through their strengths. Got good matches out of Ryback.

I'll give them an 8.

Chemistry

- They worked great as a team. They are the GOAT merc squad next to maybe the APA.

Impact

- The Shield was over as fukk and could have had a longer run if WWE creative wasn't so stupid.

Did the team enhance the profiles of the members and prove beneficial for their career paths?

- Absolutely. Without that run as The Shield, I very much doubt anyone would give a fukk about any of them. Now has WWE made the most of them? Well let's see: Roman is hated, Seth is has been hurt a lot, and Ambrose has been booked terribly. But they are still among the biggest stars in the company, and all of them have been WWE Champ (whatever the fukk that means in 2018) at least once since then.

Promo Work

- Seth is good on the mic, Ambrose shows flashes of talent when he's allowed to. Roman is TERRIBLE. But that's them individually and as of right now. As The Shield? Eh...they mostly came in and stomped cats out so promo work was low on quantity and quality.

In-Ring Skills

- Roman is one dimensional. Seth is a good worker but I would be silly to ignore the various times he has either hurt someone or hurt himself. It happens. But it can't be ignored. Ambrose is good but I still feel that he hasn't had that one big match to solidify his legacy. But again, that's them individually and as of right now. As The Shield? They were pretty decent and that was why they got the push to go solo.

The Shield is definitely one of the best things about the modern era and if you extract every episode that the Shield was on and take a step back and look at what happend when they were broken up and look at them during this most recent reunion, you can see exactly why smarks don't like WWE creative and hate the writing and booking in this era. They took a great thing, and ruined it for reasons many of us still don't get. You could have had a Shield run FARRRRRR longer than the one we had and when they finally did go solo, they all would have been so over that...what am I saying...Cokeboy would have still gotten greedy and fukked it up :russ:

I give The Shield....a solid 8 :ehh:

They're sold as 10's, but how much of that is just booking them to win a lot? THey have a strong catalog of matches, for sure. Moment-wise, I can't put them at a 9 or 10. They have a few cool moments/angles/promos, but definitely not horsemen/NWO amounts Or even Corporation amounts. Their strength is all 3 guys being super over, and their match catalog. Booking might be part of that, they didn't have enough strong opponents. Them vs Evolution was fire while it lasted. 8.

Three random guys are never gonna get a 10 from me. No backstory though it was hinted at. Almost had it. Got write better than that! Good to great matches. They were booked well. They were the stable version of HOP Mark Henry. Never had any NWO memorable moments but best of the new era overall stable wise. Well, second to Bullet Club. I give them a solid 7.
