You were probably thinking of Eddie Edwards. :mjlol:
:pachaha:
Guys like Ospreay aren't the norm though. It can't be the norm because Ospreay has had tons of injuries and he's only 24. Working that type of style is going to lead to a short career.

411MANIA | Details on Will Ospreay’s Injury History

Prior to the Best of the Super Junior tournament, there was concern over Will Ospreay having nagging injury issues at the age of 23. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, here is a breakdown of what Ospreay has been dealing with after four years in the wrestling business…

* He’s has two slipped discs in his back
* Seven concussions
* A shoulder that is prone to separation
* Two fractured heels
* Sciatica that is causing numbness in his foot

--------------------------------------------------------------

All of that in just 4 years. :merchant:
:merchant: Yeah, Vince and Co. won't touch this guy. But if Dreamer's available... :troll:

Nash could talk and cut a promo..but alot of his promos were on the "too cool for school" type factor..which i was never a fan of in the first place (and became a joke to me when he bytched and complained to management about rock's comments towards him during a promo..pure mark lol)..i did laugh at his portrayal of arn anderson though..6

i'll admit dude has had his fair share of bad gimmicks (OZ, Vinnie Vegas, Master Blaster) but as someone said being himself was the best gimmick.....being Diesel wasn't bad either i guess lol...of course a founding father of NWO 9

Ring work: He is on the sid level of ability when it comes to this with slightly more athleticism. Could be carried to good and great matches with good/great workers: Bret, IYH with shawn (IMO his best match ever), his buddy Scott Hall, Taker. Once he got back to WCW though he got lazy except in some tag team matches here and there..then he got injury prone. Good finisher in the Jackknife powerbomb 6

Overall..for better or for worse Nash will go down in wrestling history..good influence and some bad (the whole WCW demise thing)..low key he too is one of the few wrestlers to really crossover into hollywood..give him 6.5

Nash kinda had the makeup on a pig syndrome.His matches sucked most of the time but that finisher helped even things out alot because of how over it was.Gave him a 7.

-Mic work/promos: 8. Can't remember anything memorable he did promo-wise. He could definitely talk and had charisma, and could usually pop off a few good one-liners, but I remember a lot of his mic work being fairly directionless while leaning on the ropes and staring straight into the camera for 10 or 15 minutes on Nitro and Thunder. One great moment is the 4H parody, but I consider that more of a comedic skit than a promo.

-Personality/gimmicks: 8. Diesel was a cool bad-ass and Nash was cool smart-ass in the original nWo run.

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 4. Below average wrestler who became worse once he jumped back to WCW in 1996. Best matches were with Shawn & Bret. Best feud was with Shawn. He never really did anything of note as a singles star post-WWF Diesel era in terms of feuds or matches. Everything relevant after that revolves around the nWo and being in tag matches.

As a singles wrestler, best matches were with Shawn and Bret. Best singles feud was Shawn.

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores): 8.

A strong 6.
But if you take out the NWO portion of his career he drops down to a 4. I never liked his backstage antics because he seems like the type that was "on" by association with the higher ups. He basically used his pull to get his way in WWF & WCW & booked himself into a HOF spot. He wasn't innovative in the ring or on the mic, & he was like 2 steps behind with pop culture at the time trying to sound hip & in. If Men On A Mission didn't already do the Whoomp There It Is thing 5-6 years prior, I guarantee that would've been his niche in WCW. I don't know who was worse, him prancing around with a red rag tied backward around his head like he was 2Pac hollering "Wolfpac in the houuuussseeeee!" or Konan talking about "NWO Wolfpac is bouty bouty".
And speaking of 2Pac, his song "Homeboys" sums up the reason for majority of Nash's success because just like Triple H, he ain't shıt without them. Both of them rode waves & coattails to get where they are today.

In the 90s... The GOAT Big Men wrestlers were basically Undertaker, Nash, Big Show, and then Kane.

it's kind of crazy that those 4 are basically the GOAT Big men along with Andre. Undertaker being the most successful while Nash is a solid 2nd.
