Big Bossman was a legendary gimmick (1st and 2nd stint with the WWF)...Big Bubba Rogers was to a degree...WCW though could never figure out what to call the guy since he was super over in the WWF with the bossman gimmick and name...and they couldnt gimmick infringe 
...his promos like most 80s southern wrestlers..redneck, to the point, and straight forward..i never thought he was weak on the mic either
in his prime was a damn good worker..somebody mentioned a level below behind the vaders and bam bams in the world..he was agile and pretty entertaining in matches with hogan, vader, rude, perfect, and esp the mountie..he was awesome
I give him a 7..solid 7..I wish though he held more titles though..he definitely could have held the IC or US title at some point...RIP Ray Traylor
