Will give Bossman the highest 7 I can give. He was never a star, but he was highly identifiable in various eras, both in the WWF and WCW, referenced in mainstream, and was an overall solid dude. Can't tell you one classic match he's had, but I was very entertained by him, especially when he returned to the WWF in swat gear and basically defining the Hardcore division. His pure babyface cop thing worked in a GOAT era, along with the seamless heel turn at that time. When he returned to the WWF, teaming with Shamrock was random but it worked. The muscle for the Corporation stuff was awesome. Bossman was one of those dudes that reminded you it's not about how many moves you do in the ring and how long your matches are, but can you entertain people every-time you're on the screen. Nightstick, shades, swat gear, dope theme, and could get his point across without being super over the top. There's mid-carders today far less appealing than Bossman was. Hardcore matches, feeding Pepper to Al Snow (
), dragging Big Show's dad's coffin with Big Show on top, dissing Big Show's mom and calling him a b*stard, getting hung by Undertaker, etc, some hilarious and entertaining stuff. I only vaguely remember his WCW tenure. I mostly remember the shyt-talking and mocking to Glacier in one of their matches
too funny. I have very fond memories of Bossman both as a kid, and when I go back to watch stuff.
Also, the Bossman Slam is a low-key goat finisher for me. I'm a fan of anyone that uses it other than Heidenreich
