He's a 10. Close 2nd favorite wrestler of all time.

The man built an incredible legacy without much involvement in the wwe.

Top 5 biggest contributors of the biggest boom period in wrestling history.

To go to an relatively new company and elevate them as well as help build up so many people's careers is another testament to his contribution to the game.

Dude has the longevity, impact, wrestling skills, mic abilities, drawing power, etc.

Top 10 to ever do it as well as top 10 in all time popularity.
I couldn't have said it better. Except he's in my top 5 of all time. I LOVED Sting and Savage growing up. They were both like comic book super heroes in real time in my young mind lol. He's a definite 10 from me.

-Mic work/promos 7. Sting is actually pretty underrated on the stick though. He’s had some stinkers but he’s actually had some pretty good promos that did pretty well. He could get the crowd invested into him no matter what, and this is one of the keys to a good mic worker. Some can be serious, some can have catchphrases, some have a good balance. Lots of factors that truly make up ones work. Sting had that.

-Personality/gimmicks. This is a 10 for me. Like Undertaker, there was a time where the gimmick that this man portrayed was at a huge peak. Of course, I am talking about the early days of the Crow. That black and white early era for Sting was and still is iconic. Even his surfer sting days was a good go. Hell, the face paint alone is iconic enough. This was def Sting’s strong point.

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) Ill give him an 8. I liked his work. He did well for his style and time period in the business and has some classics under his belt. My favorite is Flair vs Sting back in 1988 at MACW and Vader vs Sting at Starrcade 92. Best match in TNA was Vs Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory in 2007. Best Feuds was vs Flair of course and Vader.

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores) Im gonna give him a 10. IMO, hes one of the elite guys of the past 30 years. Hate me all you want. Dude is an icon and one of the all time greats. Filed.

i gave him an 8 but he is a legend in my book. he's just at the bottom of the top tier as far as legends go for me. below guys like Mach, Hogan, SCSA, Rocky...but close to or around Triple H, HBK, etc in my opinion. Not the greatest promo but he's not as bad as some people like to suggest.

I gave him a ten because he was the face of the company that almost put Vince out of business. He was decent on the mic, always got his point across. He was good in the ring. He had a great gimmicks that changed with the times. He is probably a 9 but I gave him a 10 because when you think WCW you think sting

Legend hands down
Mic - 6 enough to get you amped, but nothing great, nothing terrible either, it did improve greatly in the TNA era.
Ring work - 7 above average, nothing memorable, but most importantly nothing that took you out of a story or made you start to disbelieve what he was selling, stinger splash, the build up punch flurry in the corner, classic.
gimmick - 10 surfer sting and crow sting were huge era defining gimmicks IMHO.
Overall - 10 the man was the face of WCW, one of the greatest babyfaces of all time period, sting was on that level of Hogan and the elites for a long time and had legit crossover appeal.

i'll accept triple h :manny:

Sting was carrying companies and winning top titles before Vince ever thought about pushing the Rocker with the leather jacket gimmick..which was a huge mistake considering how hot Razor was. Hall took that momentum and kicked off the nwo angle though. So it all evened out and Michaels fell off in two years..eclipsed by Austin and multiple others. Sting didn't have those problems.
