if you workout - with intensity for 5/6 days a week - no reason to do keto (less than 20-30 g of carbs), you can easily create a sustainable, satisfying diet in the 60-100g of total carbs (not sure what my net was) and still have the same results (weight loss) as those doing keto without all the ups and downs of the adjustment period and shytty workouts due to being under-fueled.

those who have only found success on keto (which is actually a good diet for those with insulin sensitivity) will fight tooth and nail to say that it's the BEST, but as someone who has tried pretty much every diet under the sun and gotten various results with all of them, i know that multiple times i've dropped 12-15 lbs a month eating 60-80g a carbs per day (more on my cheat day) which bests my results doing < 20 g carb when working out...I am able to drop about 10-15/month on super low carb without working out, but if i workout on that, my body locks up, i'll drop 4-5 lbs max.

protein shake with almond milk and peanut butter

I use Keto bread buns and replace it with regular buns and eat a double whopper

I have been doing Keto since Late March along with my Wife and Roomie and my Daily Meal is typically

Breakfast(Work Days):
Cold Brew Coffee with Almond Creamer, Stevia and MCT Oil....

Off Work Days is usually Scrambled Eggs with Cheese, Pico De Gallo and Jalepenos

Snacks:
Cheese(Snack Sized or String)
Almonds
Berries
Jerky
I will sometimes get some Chocolate Bars in but I'll take a nice portion off of it

Lunch:
Tuna or Chicken Salad with Greens, Cheese, Avocado and Hot Sauce

Dinner:
Usually whatever my Wife makes but theres at least some variation of say a Chicken Chipotle Bowl with Cauliflower Rice instead of regular Rice

In doing that plus a good Gym Routine and Drinking Water more regularly,I lost 20 lbs....at the end of the day,I rely more on the Gym Routine(and my Job which is Physically Demanding, plus I also Walk to Work so that helps a Ton)more than the Diet itself to make my Goal(Make 220 lbs, currently at 262)but there is good Keto stuff out there, its not ALL Bad:ehh:Just do ya Googles crehs....shiet I just had a Protein Style Beyond Burger Double at Carls Jr wit a Chocolate Protein Shake after Gym:ahh:

Just started keto last week. I haven't experienced the keto flu, yet. But I have experienced bloating, and my bowel movements have been affected. I haven't gone in 2 days whereas I usually went 2-3 times daily. I was alarmed, but reading up on it suggested that constipation was fairly common doing keto. Not cool with that.

But the food options aren't bad. And I'm learning to cook new things. Made some banging zucchini fries yesterday. And imma try some cauliflower mash and cauliflower rice in the next couple days since I had to give up rice and potatoes. Almonds with cream cheese has also been a clutch option.

Get some psyllium husk powder. I drink it 2x a day (1-2 tbl spoons), if once, at night and I poop like a god in the morning :mjlol:

I live on broccoli tots and cauliflower tots. There's tons of fiber in them plus the husk. Throw some nuts in there :dame: and you dropping bombs.

Keto flu isn't something all people experience. Cauli Mash is amazing. I personally don't need potatoes with the cauliflower options on tots and mash.

To simplify things, most food options are the same as any other diet protein wise plus added fats

I can eat a lb of 93/7 or 90/10 with cheese on keto and or iifym. You just need to know your ratios/cals/macros

The bread can be subbed with keto bread, @Data-Hawk had a video in here and my friend lives on it. My carb threshold is decent and I can stay in ketosis on 70 grams. I can actually use real bread and not get kicked out, but I don't bother buying it to avoid stupidity. It's all dependent on the person like keto flu.

I appreciate the feedback. Since I been eating the cauliflower, my bm's have gotten better. I been catching hell tryna find the psyllium husk. Walmart and GNC don't carry it in stores where I live. Imma try whole foods tomorrow before just ordering it online. But I'm using cheese in ways I never did. Also making my own mayonnaise (which I never used to eat). And doing all types of ish I never did before. And the crazy thing is I am known for cooking all kinds of stuff from scratch. But most of what I cooked before was carb-loaded. So this keto thing is also leveling up my culinary skills. I was down 10 pounds when I weighed in last week. Sure it was mostly water weight. But I'll take it. So far, I'm all-around pleased with this keto journey.

I just now started hearing about macros. I've used a coupla macros calculators and their feedback is similar. I don't really get the gist of it yet, so imma read up on it tonight.

Don’t overdo it on the protein cuz that can be convert to glucose and kick you out of ketosis

Thanks for that. I've been learning more day by day. So any gains this first month will be satisfying. I was looking at my protein consumption a few days ago and was wondering if I was going overboard. I think all the green olives I eat might be bailing me out with the added fat. But there are definitely better ways. This week I have a more solid menu. After resisting cookies, donuts, and pizza in my face all weekend, I think I'm ready to kick this into a higher gear.

Get some nuts. Makes it a lot easier. An easy 20 grams of fats with 1 nets carbs and very low protein. Pecans work goods. macadamia nuts too but they’re more expensive.

And then MCT Oil is good and helpful too. Good luck
