In fairness that swing is understandable. There is not enough carbs and too many, gotta find that right balance. Having been in the rabbit hole of trying to figure it out, i get it.
The brehs who have been through it need to save the young brehs the time/hassle

I think the OP just needs some macro targets and sustainable ways to achieve them.

This post makes me feel greasy

Why are people so anti carbs... this is like a man being anti woman, we are literally designed to run on carbs.

Lol I guess because of the amount of sugar and how bloated it makes them feel a majority of the time

But different studies says different things all the time like this morning I read that drinking milk increases estrogen and another hormone that masks testosterone just a glass

I would cut back on sugar then. Still plenty of low GI carbs to live on

I don’t disagree at all. Part of the problem is we don’t know peoples training protocol and I feel lik most people who broach keto here have already made up thier mind

Facts. I did keto for a month and disliked it. I had high cholesterol so there were a lot of items I was hesitant to consume because while I may have leaned out, I may have inadvertely increased my cholesterol numbers.

Highlight of my keto diet

Melted down an entire square of cheese and ate it for breakfast :hhh:

I don’t mind keto at all. The thing I like about it is it’s hard to go overboard. I can’t rack up 4000 calories in a day on keto like I can with a carb filled diet, it’d be damn near physically impossible to do for me.

I got a sweet tooth and a real bad habit of binge eating high sugar/carb foods, so going cold turkey on carbs is the easiest way to stabilize my calorie intake day to day.

I don’t eat dairy or non organic foods on keto though, so I’m basically just doing a real low carb paleo diet. A ton of vegetables and meat with some kinda high fat low carb sauce for flavor and satiation, working for me so far.

What cholesterol was raised, as there are 5 forms and not all are bad, if your HDL was raised then thats a good thing ?

Also your body creates most of its cholesterol and most of the cholesterol in the food you eat cannot be absorbed anyway, so you get rid of it.

Yeah same, been on Keto for a while now, its too hard to overeat hence why I dont even need to track cals anymore. Coupled with IF, I am pretty much lean all year around without needing to kill myself doing cardio or eating brown and chicken lol

For me its the most easiest and sustainable way of eating

I like keto. I don't plan on being on it forever though. Just until I reach my target weight. It's not hard for me because I'm single and live alone. I don't have to worry about what a girlfriend wants to eat, or what the kids want to eat. I'm also surrounded by buffet places at work, where for lunch, I can get salmon and a bunch of veggies. It's not for everyone though. If it doesn't work for you, just control your portion sizes. Which is 90% of the problem for most people.
