No but, someone kinda famous owning a mine. At some point wouldve been mention in a country like Sierra Leone. And also because of our weird rules on who can own or buy land in certain parts off the country.

Tell me about it :snoop:

Basically we still have the Native Rights Land Act the English set up to prevent Krios(We are classified as Non Natives)from so called dominance.

So if you're not a Native to the Provinces(Anything Outside of Freetown). You can't legally own land outside of Freetown, you can lease the land, but can't be an outright owner.

That was an expression (because buying land there is fukkery in general), but I didn't know Krios faced such discrimination.

My family is Mende/Sherbro

I wouldn't say discrimination, just left over animosity from other people who thought we were the favorites of the English during Colonialism.

Most people don't really give a fukk about all that tribal shiit anyways in Sierra Leone, especially in Freetown, where everyone now is all mixed. But I just don't feel right bout that Non Native shiit.

My peoples been there for 200 years now, and we are Black. Fukk aint no one but Limba, Loko, and Sherbo true natives to that land, everyone else migrated in the 14th to 18th Centuries from Mali, Guinea, Senegambia.

But what about people that were displaced from the land by slavery, whose ancestors owned land. I am an African American. I traced my maternal line through DNA back to the Mende in Sierra Leone. Can I own land where my ancestors were kidnapped from? Technically I am tied to the land in the Southeast due to the Mane Invaders. So wouldn't me and countless other African Americans who are tied to the Mende be able to own land. By the way I have been to Sierra Leone. It is beautiful.
