Majority of puerto ricans are super light skin, you can easily confuse one for a cac. We speak spanish differently, and ricans for the most part dont have a thick accent unless they came from the island recently. They been in the u.s.a since the 30s so that accent goes away after a couple generations

And as far as the movie goes, they repeatedly call peoples dominican. Dominican flags everywhere. Peoples lives in washington heights, his whole squad is his complexion and darker and all the slang they use is dominican slang
