I was just thinking about this it's probably the G.O.A.T debut for a character it's one of those times stood still moment because cats were talking about the show and his debut for weeks not to mention the build up felt like months cause they replayed the sayian saga.repeatily.

Few episodes removed from one of the longest most epic battles in history on the other side of the galaxy... Mans Pulled up and clapped the baddest villain to date in one episode without even introducing himself. Five long sagas deep at that point and NO shyt like that has EVER happened on this show. Or any show for that matter.

I was not expecting him to wash Frieza like that. Future Trunks easily one of the hardest characters in DBZ because he played no fukking games.
Well remember that he came from a future where all the Z fighters are dead, the androids took over the earth and Gohan was killed right in front of him. That would turn anyone into a hardened warrior
And not that Trunks had a chance to change things by goiung back in time, no fukking around for him he meant business

Came in here to write this out almost verbatim.shyt was special when it first aired on cartoon network. I was around the perfect age I think to appreciate it too. Middle school. No youtube, no wikipedia. Just dialup internet, geocity sites, aol chatrooms, and pojo.com. I had no idea what the android saga was going to be about but I was just finally glad to get there (feels like they replayed the namek/frieza saga like 3 times before they finally moved on
The reveal of him being Vegeta and Bulma's jit had me.........
Then after the episode where Trunks revealed he was from the future to Goku, I ran outside to go find that cac so I could have someone to talk to about it
I couldn't wait to find out what happened after that so I started going on sites like pojo and spoiling shyt for myself....but still that reveal worked its magic the way it was intended to on me

Cell had to activate his protective barrier because Trunks kept coming at him while he was transforming
I remember talking to my boy about Trunks being built different. The shyt he went through in his timeline, him not being raised around Goku and Vegeta made it where all his power didn’t have to be filtered through saiyan pride or honor. He didn’t thirst for battle. He don’t give a fukk about letting you powerup or none of that shyt. Trunks just trying to catch a body. He there to end shyt and get the fukk back to crib.
